We probably would have gained more weight except that we were pulling some long, late shifts at the Fair booth. Across from our booth was a neat couple. Tony and Jennifer Garcia had their businesses advertised and Ava and Jen became good friends (and Ava a customer). She visited us at our trailer with their children and they plan to keep in touch. I met Jen's dad who came to Utah as a four-year old from Puerto Rico and actually lived in Bingham City at the site of that Kennecot Mine - the city is now dissappeared by the pit!
Another reason we only gained a little was that after the Fair the church asked the three couples that could stay (Byrds, Hudgins and us) to repaint their annex. That was a lot of work - water sanding, caulking and glazing, spray and brush painting.
